Students in Mrs. Ferrell's kindergarten class enjoyed centers today after reviewing the letter L.  Student knew the why and the how of the centers and were eager to explain them to me.

Writing stories and using the sight word wall to spell correctly.

Using playdough to cut out shapes and identify the beginning sounds

Using magnetic letters to make words that have the "l" sound in them.

Penguin Posters

Students in Mrs. Higgins' second grade class has been studying about penguins.  They put their knowledge together in these power posters.  I am in love with the art and the facts the students chose to present.
