When schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and like school more. In other words, family involvement in children's education positively affects student achievement.


Studies have found that students with involved parents, regardless of their income or background, are more likely to:

• earn high grades and test scores, and enroll in higher-level programs

• pass their classes, earn credits, and be promoted

• attend school regularly

• graduate and go on to post-secondary education.

Literacy Night-December

What a great night!  Santa made his appearance and read two stories to the crowd, after a fabulous dinner of potato soup, sandwiches and Christmas cookies.  Mrs. Rowles, Mrs, Higgins, Miss Carol, and Mrs. Cook were there to help.
