Mrs. Sexton brought her class to view the 100 day projects. Here is a student sharing her project with her class. She is describing how she came up with the idea, who helped her make it, and how she actually did it. Great poise and confidence coming from this young student!

100 Days of School
Today is the 100th day of school! Our students are enjoying the day by playing with the number 100. Students are seeing what things they can do in 100 seconds, how long it takes to lick a lollipop 100 times, painting 100 gumballs on a paper, counting out 100 small snacks. Students who have the opportunity to explore number sense have a better grasp of estimation. These students are exploring the number 100, after counting to 100 every day.

Multiple senses
Look how this simple activity uses multiple senses. I was told by a kindergarteners that she liked the pink tapes because they were sticky, pretty to look at, and smelled good! Students used these sticky, pretty, good smelling tapes to find -op words in the poem.

Boot Camp
Our students are participating in a series of workshops today and tomorrow to remind themselves of the different rules in the various areas of our school. Art, drama, songs, technology, bus rides, snacks...are all being used to remind our students of our expectations. The students are doing great!
