We had a wonderful Open House! Over 200 students and parents visited school on Thursday night to meet teachers and drop off school supplies. Ms Lynn was busy helping parents with car tags and paperwork. Many of our specials teachers, special services and interventionists were in the hallways guiding parents to the classrooms. This is such a great opportunity to see the school all prepped and ready for the first day of learning.
As the principal, I was told by parents that they hoped for patient teachers who loved learning and who looked out for the best interests of the students. We have that staff! All our staff believe that we are here to serve our students, to find the best ways to reach them and to keep them safe from harm's way.
I have a wish list, too. I would like to have active parents who find opportunities to be in our school and send their students ready to learn! If we combine the parents wants and my wants, what a great team we will make!
